The company has a solid business background, and is more than competent to undertake a wide range of work on moorland and peatland areas. Before starting any project, the Managing Director carries out a full site visit and assessment with the client. DMS operates from dedicated office and workshops near Settle on the Lancashire/Yorkshire Border. Specialist knowledge and understanding of large scale working on ecologically sensitive sites has been built up over time, and machinery and skills have been developed and adapted especially for this purpose, making the company’s expertise unique in its field.
The company has employees who are experienced in on-site supervision of larger contracts, whilst also getting on with the tasks. This means that they can ensure that the work keeps to programme, and that hurdles, that otherwise block progress, are negotiated.
The company has a skilled team of operatives to hand, most of whom have been working with the company for several years. As well as expert capability with machines and/or building skills, the operatives all have the DMS ethos as second nature. The team has an array of certificates from various professional courses that demonstrate their capabilities with operation of machinery and with Health and Safety.
As well as the site team, there is a small experienced team that runs the office at Deepdale, near Wigglesworth on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border.
