Side Ditching

Important to maintaining a good infrastructure is the control of water, to stop erosion and flooding. A build up of standing water can quickly lead to wet areas and ruts developing. Designing of any water management should take into account the worst of the weather, typically in winter ensuring that the track does not get washed away.

With good water runoff and channeling, the track will keep in good condition for years. Side ditching by profiling the edge of the track can be done on new or existing tracks using low ground pressure excavators to ensure no damage is done to the existing access.
