Habitat Restoration & Management Overview

DMS have undertaken many types of restoration work from river bank improvements to major moorland/lowland mire restoration projects. We are able to adapt to every situation and feel that working together in harmony with the client achieves the intended goal. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and see every project as an exciting opportunity to evolve and grow as a company.

We have worked on many restoration projects and have achieved excellent results on site which were deemed un-restorable. We, as a matter of course, undertake a number of detailed surveys to assess the site and existing project proposals. We will produce a report with our recommendation and liaise with the client to achieve what’s best for that site.

Wherever possible we look to use materials and restoration techniques which are sympathetic to the sites ecology. To achieve the best aesthetic and environmental effect we use quality locally sourced materials and native plant seed mixtures, indigenous to the area. Materials like plastics and concrete are used where the modern day demands warrant it, however they are hidden and a traditional facade will prevail.
