Conservation Project Planning

To make sure a project develops its aims and objectives, the area of treatment and other success indicators need to be recorded. From budgeting to Health and Safety on site, a GIS plan of the area can be extremely beneficial. In recent years DMS has grown to realise that the effective use GIS and GPS is vital to facilitate safe and efficient moorland contracting. We are firm advocates that before work on open moorland is undertaken, that a GPS survey us completed. Moreover, that machines working in moorland areas are equipped with GPS equipment so that they can work to a task plan, record progress and from a safety perspective always know their position exactly.

With vehicle mounted and handheld GPS computers we can offer a total package from data collection to data analysis.
